Scott co-authored this book while serving as a Principal Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he focused on cloud products and solutions for energy and utilities customers. With over 25 years of experience spanning software development, GIS architecture, and enterprise IT leadership, he has worked across all segments of the energy industry — from Accenture and Quorum Business Solutions to LOGIC Solutions Group and BPX Energy before joining AWS in 2019.

While at AWS, Scott was a founding member of the open-source Agents4Energy generative AI project, helped launch the AWS Geospatial Technical Field Community (TFC), and has spoken at AWS re:Invent, CREAWeek, Data Driven Drilling & Production, FME World Fair, and the Esri Petroleum User Group, where he served as Technical Chair on the Steering Committee. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Trinity University and an Executive MBA from Quantic.
